Fry chopped onion and chopped garlic in olive oil till cooked but not brown. Add 4 cups water, diced carrot, 2 teaspoons salt, and 2 teaspoons curry powder and stir to mix it all up and bring to boil. When water is boiling, add 1 cup lentils and stir. Bring to boil again, then turn down heat to low, cover the pot and let cook for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, turn off heat and leave cover on until you are ready to eat.
