I decided to make pizza tonight


all ready to go into the oven

Pizza Dough Recipe

1 package of active dry yeast
1 ½ cups of warm water
1 tablespoon of salt
3 1/3 cups of flour
2 tablespoons of olive oil

makes two dough’s


1. Dissolve the yeast in a large bowel with ½ cups of the water
2. stir the salt into the rest of the water, then pour it over the dissolved yeast.
3. Add flour and the olive oil
4. stir well to mix
5. turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead dough adding more flour as necessary, until dough is smooth and elastic, and no longer sticky about 10 mins.
6. Oil the cleaned bowl lightly and return the dough to it, turning to coat.
7. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 ½ hours.
8. set oven to 450 degrees
9. when rising time is up, punch down dough and turn onto a well floured surface, divide in half and put one half into the fridge while working on other half.
10. roll dough into a circle using a floured rolling pin. It will be bouncy and resistant so roll as much as you can to increase the circle.
11. fill with toppings and cook for 12 minutes.

Recently Ive been toying around with the idea of creating a new blog but this new blog is going to be vastly different, It will focus on one thing only….Food.
